Treatment Description
Laser hair removal utilises concentrated beams of light to target and damage hair follicles, inhibiting their ability to produce new hair. The procedure works by directing laser energy into the melanin pigment present in the hair follicles. The laser energy is absorbed by the melanin, generating heat that damages the follicles while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. This targeted approach effectively reduces hair growth over time. It provides long-lasting results, with many individuals experiencing a significant reduction in hair growth after a series of treatment sessions. Pre-treatment ► 1 month prior to the treatment: - Do not wax in the 4 weeks leading up to your appointment as pigment is required in the hair follicle for the laser to identify the hair and treatment to be effective - Avoid direct sun exposure 24 hours prior to the treatment: - Shave the treatment area the night before your appointment - Avoid using topical creams, moisturisers, body oils, colognes or perfumes to the area - Ensure all fake tan is removed and there is no residual fake tan present on the skin 24 hours before your treatment Aftercare ► - Avoid shaving, waxing, or plucking hair, exfoliation, sweat reduction, swimming or saunas, very hot showers, and tight restrictive clothing (body treatment) - Strictly no laser treatment for 2 weeks - Avoid exposing the area to direct sunlight for a minimum 2 - 4 weeks after your treatment and use SPF 50 daily.
